CEO & Co-Founder | IDUN Technologies
Simon Bachmann grew up in the mountainous regions of the Alps in Switzerland before he moved to Zurich to pursue his dream of medical engineering. During his studies at the renowned ETH Zurich he worked in a workplace health promotion company on burnout prevention of high-level managers with the aid of ECG measurements where he explored his passion for body monitoring and wearables. After his masters degree in medical technologies at the Biosensors and Bioelectronics Lab where he co-authored and co-patented a dry electrode technology, he co-founded IDUN Technologies with his friend and work colleague Séverine Chardonnens. The company has grown to 10 employees in the meantime, creating some buzz with a few world firsts, such as the worlds first clinical grade underwater electrocardiogram or a dive together with a Red Bull athlete in the deepest pool in the world, the Y-40 in Padova, Italy, at -42,5 meters depth.
